Hello Reader, I hope this letter finds you well. Right now I am almost two months into my gap year and loving it here at MAPS Global in Richmond Virginia. As I look ahead at what God has in store, I am thrilled to give you some context for how I got here, what I am doing, and how you might be a part. How I Got HereAs you might know, I just graduated high school, and the Lord has done so much in my heart this past year. This 1min video below summarizes it pretty well: Early last fall, the Lord awakened me, along with my friends, to start a Bible study that we've been doing weekly in my garage. These times have been profound and powerful as I've watched such a beautiful move of God in my own heart and in so many around me. Toward the end of my senior year the Lord lead me to MAPS Global, to take that heart of worship and love for God's Word that He has cultivated in me, to the nations. What I'm DoingI'm currently in the midst of my "training phase." This phase includes rich biblical teaching, leadership development, daily worship and prayer, evangelism and outreach—all alongside an amazing family of believers. In the last months I've been awakened to Jesus' burden for the lost and the vital role of a praying, singing, preaching witness that walks out the Great Commission. After this training phase, I'll join a team for a 90-day overseas outreach in an unreached nation. There, we'll work alongside the local church community, engaging in evangelism, prayer, and practical service. Will you pray?Like many missionaries, I am able to serve because of the prayer and financial partnership of a team of friends who share my burden to see God powerfully move in unreached nations. The total cost for this missions placement in the Middle East is $9,500. I am working now to build this team so that I can continue without hindrance in this ministry. Reader, will you pray and ask God about being a part of my financial partnership team? I will plan to follow up with you in 1-2 weeks to answer any questions and share a bit more. I understand this type of decision is not made lightly, so I sincerely appreciate your prayerful consideration. In Christ, — David P.S. I would love to hear from you! Feel free to hit reply to this email and let me know how I can pray for you or if you have any questions. Looking forward to hearing from you! |

Hey , Greetings to you in this sweet time of year, as we slow down and take part in watching, waiting, and meditating on the Advent of Christ, the One who came and is coming again. We live in hope for that Day. I am thrilled to share with you all that has unfolded over the last few months: where my heart has been, and all that the Lord has done and spoken. After two months of steady debrief, special time with family and friends, my mind begins little by little to pick up memories from some of the most significant months of my life. I’ll miss my Arab buddies, Saturday night basketball, and cheap shawarma. Those friendships have steadily carried on even to now. I guess I looked a little like them with a fraction of their facial hair, some dark curls, and not pasty white skin, but little did they know the Lord was working through me to plant ever...
Hey Reader, Hope you are doing well. It's been a full and enjoyable week, and I want to share one particularly special moment with you. Apple cider donuts & ice cream Update from the field This past Thursday, my fellow students and I sat down to hear testimonies from last year's students who had just returned from North Africa. After their 90 days of praying, preaching, and singing in the 10-40 window, we listened to their firsthand experiences, asked questions, and received prayer from each...
