Join me in making a Gospel impact?

Hello Reader,

I hope this letter finds you well. Right now I am almost two months into my gap year and loving it here at MAPS Global in Richmond Virginia.

As I look ahead at what God has in store, I am thrilled to give you some context for how I got here, what I am doing, and how you might be a part.

How I Got Here

As you might know, I just graduated high school, and the Lord has done so much in my heart this past year.

This 1min video below summarizes it pretty well:

Early last fall, the Lord awakened me, along with my friends, to start a Bible study that we've been doing weekly in my garage.

These times have been profound and powerful as I've watched such a beautiful move of God in my own heart and in so many around me.

Toward the end of my senior year the Lord lead me to MAPS Global, to take that heart of worship and love for God's Word that He has cultivated in me, to the nations.

What I'm Doing

I'm currently in the midst of my "training phase." This phase includes rich biblical teaching, leadership development, daily worship and prayer, evangelism and outreach—all alongside an amazing family of believers.

In the last months I've been awakened to Jesus' burden for the lost and the vital role of a praying, singing, preaching witness that walks out the Great Commission.

After this training phase, I'll join a team for a 90-day overseas outreach in an unreached nation. There, we'll work alongside the local church community, engaging in evangelism, prayer, and practical service.

Will you pray?

Like many missionaries, I am able to serve because of the prayer and financial partnership of a team of friends who share my burden to see God powerfully move in unreached nations.

The total cost for this missions placement in the Middle East is $9,500.

I am working now to build this team so that I can continue without hindrance in this ministry.

Reader, will you pray and ask God about being a part of my financial partnership team?

I will plan to follow up with you in 1-2 weeks to answer any questions and share a bit more.

I understand this type of decision is not made lightly, so I sincerely appreciate your prayerful consideration.

In Christ,

— David

Hey Reader, Somehow I am already halfway through my training phase—how is that even possible? Although I can't slow time down, I can share some of the sweetness that I have experienced these past weeks. Open House Weekend Earlier this month, MAPS hosted an Open House Weekend where people from all over could come experience the school and program first hand. It was a joy to host both my parents and Jess over those days. The time I had with each of them was so precious and timely. Having them...

Beloved, Jesus is the fuel and the finish line. He is worthy of every nation knowing, loving, singing and declaring His name. And I have the beautiful privilege of impacting the Middle East —one of the most unreached regions on earth— for the gospel. And I want you to join me. Right now I am training full-time with a missions organization in order to be sent out to proclaim the name of Jesus in the Middle East. Prayer for the Middle East Together with my sister Maddie and fellow students, the...

Hey Reader, Just over a month into the training phase here at MAPS! I feel like I’ve been here much longer than that, and I’m also thrilled that I have eight more months ahead of me - both of continued training and then outreach. MAPS Update I cannot explain my gratitude and love for this community—this family. From daily corporate prayer, rich and compelling Bible teaching, to “Thankfulness Thursdays,” fall festivals, and camping trips, this training time is far beyond what I even imagined...
